On Wednesday, the Baltimore Ravens signed RB Kenyan Drake who was released by the Oakland Raiders last week. The Ravens have struggled to keep their running backs healthy over the last two seasons, with both J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards dealing with injuries. In 12 games in 2021, Drake ran for 254 yards and two TDs on 63 carries and caught 30 passes for 291 yards and one score.
Head Coach of the Baltimore Ravens, John Harbaugh, spoke on the signing saying, “Kenyan Drake joined us today, and he’s a back who has had a lot of exciting plays in this league...He’s a big, strong, fast, kind of slasher-type back [with] experience in pass protection. [He] catches the ball well out of the backfield. [He’s] a great guy, in talking to him. So, he’ll be taking more of the next four days to get up to speed and get ready to go.” Kenyan Drake looks set to take on a large number of carries with the Raven's lack of healthy options at running back.
